On December 29, 2014, the "Technical Seminar on Risk Monitoring and Safety Management of Food-related Plastic Products," organized by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, was held in Beijing. 58 people attended the meeting, including Cao Jian, executive vice president of the China Plastics Association; experts from national food safety-related departments; heads of some branches of the China Plastics Association; experts and scholars from universities and research institutes; and representatives from food contact plastic product companies. The meeting was chaired by Tian Yan, deputy secretary-general of the China Plastics Association.

From December 28th to 29th, 2014, the 2014 annual meeting of the Drainage Professional Committee of the China Water Association was held in Harbin. The theme of the meeting was "Innovation, Management and Service". More than 400 people from urban drainage management, sewage treatment, drainage monitoring, and drainage fee collection enterprises and institutions across the country attended the meeting. Wang Zhanjie, secretary-general of the Plastic Pipe Special Committee of the China Plastics Association, also attended the meeting.

Lanzhou: No excavation allowed without 'protection' of underground pipelines
The Lanzhou Municipal Government Office of Gansu Province issued a notice requiring the establishment of a coordination mechanism for the comprehensive management of urban underground pipelines and further strengthening the protection of underground pipelines during the construction of construction projects.
