China's plastic pipe industry has seen rapid development in recent years, especially in PE and PPR pipes. However, while the annual growth rate of plastic pipes in China has reached 15%, the industry faces unprecedented challenges and concerns, significantly impacting the market's normal development. Calls for market regulation and rectification are growing louder.
Most of China's plastic pipe production and exports are low-end products. Although the development of plastic pipes in China has been unstoppable in the past two years, high value-added products remain scarce. Currently, domestically produced plastic water pipes and fittings are mostly general-purpose products. Pipes and fittings with high usage requirements and high added value are relatively few, greatly limiting their market applications. The application of high-end plastic pipes is only in its initial stages.
Solving these industry problems ultimately depends on the standardization of various projects and sufficient budget allocation. Therefore, in the next 3-5 years, our efforts should not only focus on improving the industry itself but also on enhancing the quality of related industries such as water companies, municipal engineering, and real estate. This will ultimately lead to the improvement of the plastic pipe industry.
