From September 19th to 23rd, the Group's 2011 professional skills competition for natural gas and pipeline storage and transportation enterprises was held in Shenyang. 100 contestants from 6 pipeline storage and transportation companies including China Petroleum Pipeline Company, West-East Gas Pipeline Company, and Xinjiang Oilfield Company participated in the competition of three types of work: oil transportation, gas transmission, and pipeline repair and maintenance.

　　After 3 days of competition, Mo Xiaohui, a pipeline company player, won the gold medal in the oil pipeline competition, and Jiao Weiping, a gas pipeline player in the west-east gas pipeline company, won the gold medal in the gas pipeline competition. Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company won the first place in the two competitions for gas transmission and pipeline repair business.

　　This competition is one of the three major professional skills competitions organized by the Group this year, and it is also the first group company level long-distance pipeline oil transmission, gas transmission type and large-caliber pipeline repair skills group competition. All natural gas and pipeline storage and transportation companies attach great importance to this competition, actively select and train participants, and make preparations before the competition. Xinjiang Oilfield Company leader Pan Yongjiang introduced that the company's 13 contestants were finally determined through three rounds of selection and training from more than 900 front-line employees.

　　As of the end of the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, CNPC's long-term oil and gas pipelines in service reached 52,000 kilometers, which has doubled from the end of the "10th Five-Year Plan" period. The long-distance pipeline network initially covered 29 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.

　　The rapid development of the oil and gas pipeline business has put forward new and higher requirements for the operating skills of front-line employees of the pipeline. You Qingyu, a group technical expert, believes that the content of this competition is closely integrated with the actual situation. It not only plays a role in checking the skills of front-line employees, but also guides and encourages front-line employees to strengthen their studies and delve into business. At the same time, the selection process of the participating team members is also a process of employee skills training, which is of great significance for improving the basic quality of front-line employees and promoting and ensuring the safe, stable and efficient operation of oil and gas pipelines.
