The Fujian Provincial Standardization Technical Committee for Plastics and its Products, the first standardization organization in Fujian's specialized field, was officially established at the Fujian Provincial Product Quality Inspection Institute. Its aim is to better serve government and enterprises, and promote the healthy and rapid development of the plastics industry.
It is reported that the "Standards Committee" consists of 31 members from Fujian universities, research institutes, testing institutions, industry associations, and well-known plastics companies. It brings together technical experts in the plastics industry in Fujian, mainly responsible for the formulation and revision of Fujian local standards in the field of plastics and their products. It also undertakes the responsibility of investigating and researching the implementation of various levels of standards in the field of plastics and their products, and tracking domestic and international technical regulations in this field.
According to He Peng, secretary-general of the Standards Committee, the committee will guide enterprises to actively participate in the formulation and revision of local standards, conduct training, seminars, and learning activities, strengthen enterprises' understanding and implementation of standards, cultivate technical backbone personnel for enterprises, promote enterprises to achieve new levels in quality control, and promptly understand and collect the needs of enterprises during their development process. This will make standardization work more targeted and timely, playing a greater role in promoting enterprise development.
He Peng believes that the establishment of the Standards Committee will promote the formation of a local standard system framework in this field, providing a highly academic platform for plastics companies to communicate, learn from each other, and improve together, addressing the current situation where various levels of standards for plastics and their products are not in line with the development of the plastics industry, resulting in relatively lagging or even missing standards.
He Peng said that since most plastic products are related to low carbon, environmental protection, and personal safety, the requirements for product and method standards are also gradually increasing. The level of standards is not only an important prerequisite for enterprises to achieve specialized production and improve their technical level, but also an important way to accelerate the development of new products and save raw materials, and is also an important guarantee for stabilizing and improving product quality.
Fujian is a major province in the production of plastic products, with a wide range of varieties, including plastic packaging materials, plastic pipes, degradable materials, resin raw materials, and recycled materials. According to statistics, in 2010, the province had more than 2,000 plastic product processing enterprises, with a plastic product output of approximately 1.66 million tons and an industrial output value of 77.1 billion yuan. During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the Fujian plastics industry is expected to develop at an average annual growth rate of 20%, reaching the goal of 200 billion yuan in "above-scale" industrial output value and 4 million tons of plastic product output, striving to become the largest plastic packaging materials and plastic pipe production base and plastic shoe export base in China.

Kongwang steel strip polyethylene composite pipe
Kongwang perforated steel belt polyethylene composite pipe is a composite pipe material with a perforated steel pipe welded from cold-rolled steel strip as the reinforcing skeleton and composite thermoplastic plastic. Due to the introduction of the reinforcing skeleton, the pressure resistance of the pipe is significantly improved. Different types and grades of thermoplastic plastics can be used to produce composite pipe materials for different purposes. The perforated steel belt plastic pipes produced by the company are divided into several uses according to their uses: water supply, underground gas, hot water, chemical, and special uses.
Development prospects of large-diameter (large-caliber) pressure pipes
The application of plastic pipes, both domestically and internationally, started with smaller diameters and gradually developed towards larger diameters. (There is no defined definition for large diameter; in this article, large diameter refers to diameters of 800mm and above.) It is worth noting that in recent years, there has been a major international trend towards the development of large-diameter plastic pipes, driven by environmental protection. As is well known, the world is currently facing a battle against climate change, and all countries must bear the responsibility of reducing carbon emissions. In the pipeline industry, there is undoubtedly a need to pay more attention to environmental impact.
